COPPERAS COVE – Copperas Cove ISD has announced applications are now open for new out-of-district transfers.

Applications for students to transfer into CCISD for the first time are now open at www.CCISD.com/Transfers.

“We know parents are always looking to do what they feel is best for their students,” said CCISD Superintendent Dr. Brent Hawkins. “We are confident that our district can provide every student with a foundation for a great life after high school. We have award-winning extra-curricular programs to interest almost any child, and we look forward to welcoming more people into our Bulldawg family.”

Copperas Cove ISD is one of the highest-performing districts, academically, in central Texas, offering big-city opportunities with a small-town feel.

With more than 30 industry certifications available across 12 Career & Technical Education areas of study, Cove is central Texas’ leader in Career & Technical Education, starting CTE tracks in junior high.

In addition to robust career programs, Copperas Cove ISD offers an innovative early literacy program to establish a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning. In 2025, 99% of Cove graduates were College, Career & Military-Ready as outlined by the Texas Education Agency in accountability guidelines.

Students in Copperas Cove are also able to join award-winning teams and extra-curricular groups across athletics, fine arts, academic and career areas.

Parents of current out-of-district transfer students in CCISD will receive an email Monday with more information on registering their student for the 2026-27 school year.
