Yesterday, Spanish 1 students participated in an interactive puzzle-based activity designed to enhance vocabulary proficiency and promote active engagement. The activity required students to identify and match vocabulary “pieces” related to ropa y colores (clothing and colors) in order to complete designated illustrations. Working collaboratively in teams, each group assigned specific roles: a Leader, responsible for verifying English to Spanish translations using a provided reference list; a Player, tasked with locating the correct puzzle pieces; and Organizers, who assembled the puzzle. Each piece featured an illustration along with the corresponding Spanish vocabulary word and color.

Students were highly engaged throughout the activity, demonstrating strong collaboration and consistent practice of the Spanish language. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience while reinforcing their understanding of clothing-related terms in Spanish.

Students in Mrs. Guilmaris Fuller's Career College and Exploration classes presented their projects. She said, ' Last week we wrapped up our presentations on pitching a business, all students had to develop a business plan .
Name
Three products they’re selling
Cost to purchase the product to stock their stores
Who the target audience is?
Why people should shop at their location and not elsewhere
This project was so much fun because they had to use technology. They had to research the data. Some of them did not take it seriously, of course, but a multitude of them were super invested, and the majority of them did a great job researching and finding product cost and changing price value because the shipment is costing more they had to do math they had to create they had to design and here are some awesome photos of the presentations of their businesses."
