📚🔐 Learning in Action at CCJH! 🔐📚
Students in Sra. Perez’s Spanish class participated in a collaborative Escape Room Challenge, applying their vocabulary and grammar knowledge to solve clues and unlock the next step.
Working in teams, students analyzed prompts, interpreted Spanish text, and used problem-solving strategies to move through each stage of the challenge. Activities like this promote critical thinking, communication, and collaboration while engagingly reinforcing language skills.
It was great to see students supporting one another and staying focused as the countdown clock kept the energy high! ⏱️

CCJHS students have been participating in the dress-up days celebrating Black History Month and National FFA Week. From 90s Hip-Hop to school colors of blue and gold, students and teachers had a blast.

CCJHS is celebrating Black History Month and National FFA Week this week by hosting dress-up days. The outfits today were Historical Black Colleges Day and FFA Pride Day. Dress-up days will continue all week.

Counselors came to talk to our 8th-grade students about getting ready for high school. There are so many choices and opportunities for them. 9th grade awaits!

CCHS' JROTC program visited Mrs. Fuller's Career Exploration class today. They shared with the student the benefits that the program offered. They explained the PT training and the different challenges that JROTC came with. Way to go, JROTC! We are proud of you!!!

Mr. Whitfield and Mrs. Wilkinson’s 7th graders dove into the world of biology by dissecting frogs to explore anatomy and see firsthand how body systems work together. Experiences like this bring science to life, spark curiosity, and build a deeper understanding beyond the textbook. Proud of these students for their focus, teamwork, and respect during this exciting lab! 👏🧪

Let your Flags Fly! CCJHS's flagpole had issues this morning that had Mr. Taylor trying to capture the flags when the anchoring cord broke loose. Thanks to his quick thinking, the flags are now safe and flying high. Meanwhile, Mr. Max, our CIS mentor, taught the students how to correctly fold the flags for storage #Honorthe flag#USA!.
