Huge congratulations to BOTH Copperas Cove Junior High School counselors, Julie Armstrong and Yoshenobia Harris, for winning the CREST Award for counseling excellence! CREST winners will be recognized during the annual Texas School Counselor Association conference in February!




CCJHS National Junior Honor Society members participated in preparing and placing wreaths for those buried at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery.

Parents and families, here is the school calendar for the rest of December. Don't forget about our 2-hour early release on Dec. 20th ahead of Christmas Break.


CCJHS National Junior Honor Society participated in a Literacy Day at Mae Stevens.
Students read aloud to classes, played in stations, and participated in library activities.





CCISD will host its next Emergent Bilingual Program Cafe TOMORROW in the CCHS library. We hope to see you there!


Move on Up! will be hosting a Christmas Market in the CCHS Cafeteria NEXT Saturday! Ornaments are $5 or less, and this event is cash only. All proceeds go to the participating work-based programs.
We hope you'll come see some of the amazing work our students are doing.


CCJHS: Just a reminder we will have an early dismissal tomorrow, Friday,
November 22nd. Students will be dismissed at 1:46. Lunch times will be affected as follows: A lunch (6th grade) 10:34-11:04. B lunch (mostly 7th grade) 11:21-11:51. C lunch (mostly 8th grade) 12:08-12:38.

Today is Texas High School Coaches Day, where we celebrate the coaches who guide our students on the field every day.

Reading is fundamental and at Copperas Cove ISD, we know our focused literacy program helps build a strong foundation for all subjects.


Monday is a student holiday, staff development day. Please note that all Copperas Cove ISD campuses and offices will be closed for our staff to attend trainings during the day.
All district facilities will re-open Tuesday.


Digital Learning Leaders across the district are "Shaking Up Coding!" Each campus' leader learned new, creative ways to teach students about technology and coding in a recent training!

Cove Jr. High art students have done a lot this year, from post-it note art contests and foil sculptures in the front of the school, to a display at the Killeen Regional Airport and the Fine Arts department having fun with the students at the campus' fall dance.
